Q U

Eleanor made her first music video today. They Might Be Giants, one of Matt's favorite bands, has two children's albums: No and Here Comes the ABC's. They have ingenius songs like "Alphabet of Nations" and "C is for Conifer." "QU" was Eleanor's song of choice for this video. We hope you enjoy.

Too cute. Where'd you get the letters, and is it a full Scrabble™ set?

How adorable! Good taste in music too!

"No" is one of our favorite CDs here at the Petro residence. Mommy really likes "Lazyhead and Sleepybones" because it reminds her of a Lemonheads song, but I'm more into "Clap Your Hands" 'cuz I'm an active guy who likes to jump around.

We don't have their alphabet CD yet...something else to maybe add to our wishlist...?

Well, to answer your question, Miles: Not neccesarilly. "Here come the ABC's" a bit of a sellout to disney and is published under their label. I think the quality isn't nearly as high as "No," in particular, the animations included on the cd aren't nearly as good as they were on "No." However if you aren't already, you need to subscribe to the TMBG podcast. It's pretty hilarious with measureable regularity and distinctively more... adult. www.tmbg.com click the "podcast" button on the right.

As the other M. Lumpkin and the one less knowledgeable about TMBG, I disagree with the previous comment. While the visual aspect of the ABC cd is not as good as No, it is still a great listen, especially for little ears. Where else can you find a song that lists nations in alphabetial order or types of conifers?
