Saturday Morning on the Porch Swing
E woke up early. I got up and got her a vaffle and told her I was going to go get some coffee (we were out) and come right back. She said: "I go with you, get coffee?" So I said: "Sure," and Melody rejoiced beneath the blankets.
We walked two blocks to Starbucks and got coffee and a blueberry muffin to share and sat outside enjoying the wispy morning clouds slinking down over the San Gabriel mountains. We met a dog with a blue sweater on. We met a woman from Georgia who sounded like she was from Georgia. We came back home and E insisted that I get mommy to come down and swing with us, and bring the "Pig Book." That's how it happened.

I can't believe you have to walk 2 blocks to a Starbucks. Here in civilized Seattle we have a coffee shop on every corner.
I love this! And I think it's okay if you have to walk 2 blocks to a chain coffeeshop. It makes me feel a little better about the west coast. We'll be in San Fran in September; hoping to fly via sky bus into LA and drive up. Hope, HOPE we can see you!

What a perfect morning!
Another family hoodie picture, I love it!
Glad Eleanor likes to read books in the swing like we did at the farm!
