Christmas Shopping

I guess it's about time for a new post. We are still alive, just busy. Do you think it's strange that I find Santas creepy? I hid from the one at the mall today. I also hid from the guy who tries to sell fingernail treatments. I didn't hide from Chic-Fil-A, where I got a free sandwich in exchange for a pint of my blood.

Eleanor's been Christmas shopping in her own way. She likes all the flyer's that come in the mail. She picked out a new camera from Radio Shack and some bananas from Kroger, all while on the phone--what a multitasker!

She must like hearing the noise the paper makes when crumpled. I used to be afraid of Santa...my mom has a picture of me with a terrified look on my face as Santa is giving me a mesh stocking full of candy at church. My Mammaw laughs and retells the story saying that I asked, "But I don't have to touch him, do I?" I wish I had that picture and I would post it.

When did Santa switch to mesh stockings? Does he wear garters too?

I can't say whether the vision of Santa in garters or Santa in Church is more shocking.

Why do you find a bearded man sneaking down your chimney creepy?

Eleanor looks like a toddler for sure. Is she saying "No!" all the time yet?

No. She only says it from time to time while shaking her head back and forth after we've told her "no," to doing something like opening up the cd tray on the computer.

My mom emailed me the photo, so go to my blog and check it out. You'll see what the mesh is all about...
